Job Description

The role entails developing, innovating, and maintaining an effective, lead-generating website. The Specialist will need expertise in building sites, maintaining an attractive portfolio, and being deadline and detail-oriented.

The Web Development Specialist will work on our company website and other projects as needed. This role is expected to bring an eye for detail, along with practical web development abilities. The role will work closely with our digital project managers, graphic designers, digital marketers, and other internal stakeholders to bring to life the brand, product/service information and collateral, and other website content, via the code the specialist will write.

Functions:

• Website Development, Maintenance and Improvement
• Template Creation and Improvements
• Setup of WordPress Settings
• Convert design/mock-up to a functional website
• Website Troubleshooting
• Ensure that there’s a backup of the website being worked on, especially on the all the critical parts (e.g. database)
• Address issues based on identified root causes based on symptoms
• Site Migration
• Transferring from hosting to hosting
• Ensure that all links are pointed to the correct domain
• Implementation
• Add Sections
• Modify Layouts
• Content Implementation
• Functionality Integration
• Integration of any of the following
• E-commerce
• Listings and Filters (Properties, Job, Services)
• LMS

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, WordPress
• Builder Skills and Experience: Elementor, Oxygen, Gutenberg, etc
• Knowledge of WordPress migration
• Knowledge of file transfer tools
• Identification of appropriate plugin
• Custom post type
• Creation of archive and single templates
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
